We remove pool and billiard tables anywhere in Sydney. A full-size slate table weighs between 300 and 500 kilograms, most of it in slate bed sections that have to come out separately. Our crew dismantles the table and carries it out rather than attempting to move it whole.
Why a Pool Table Comes Apart
A slate pool table cannot be moved in one piece. The bed is made of two or three slate sections, each weighing 60 to 100 kilograms, bolted to a timber frame under the cloth.
Taking it out means removing the pockets and rails, lifting the cloth, unbolting the slate sections and carrying them out individually, then breaking down the frame and legs. Attempting to drag or tip a table whole risks cracking the slate, damaging your floors and injuring whoever is underneath it.
Cheaper tables with MDF or composite beds are lighter and simpler, but the approach is the same.

Getting It Out
Pool tables are almost always in the hardest room to get out of — a basement rumpus room, a converted garage, or an upstairs games room. That is where they end up because getting one in was a one-time effort nobody wanted to repeat.
When you book, tell us which room it is in, how many stairs are involved and how close a truck can get. Photos of the table and the path out let us quote properly rather than guessing.

Yes. Slate tables are dismantled as part of the job — pockets, rails, cloth, slate sections and frame all come apart before anything is carried out.
