Working Around a Live Building
Office work is rarely about the lifting. It is about the building's rules. Most commercial buildings in Sydney require a loading dock booking, a service lift with protection fitted, a certificate of currency lodged before the day, and work done outside business hours.
We deal with that as a matter of course. Tell us the building's requirements with your enquiry — or put us in touch with building management directly — and we will book the dock, work to the lift window and schedule the job for an evening or weekend if that is what the building requires.
When Offices Call Us
Fit-out and refurbishment
Old furniture and partitions out before the new fit-out goes in, usually on a tight programme where the trades cannot start until the floor is clear.
Office moves and downsizing
Fewer desks in the new space than the old one. We take whatever is not making the move.
End of lease and make good
Handing a tenancy back means an empty, swept floor. We clear everything left, including the fit-out material if the make-good requires it.
Ongoing clear-outs
Storerooms, archive rooms and that corner where broken chairs accumulate.
Furniture Donation and E-Waste
An office clear-out generates a lot of material that still has life in it. Desks and chairs in serviceable condition are offered for donation where we can place them, rather than automatically going to a transfer station.
Electronic equipment is handled separately. Tips will not accept e-waste as general waste, so computers, monitors, servers and network hardware are separated from the load and taken to a recycling centre. If your equipment holds data, arrange your own data destruction before we collect — we remove the hardware, we do not wipe drives. For sensitive paper records we also offer secure document destruction.

Can you work outside business hours?
Yes. Most office jobs are done in the evening or on a weekend so the building and its tenants are not disrupted. Tell us the window the building allows.
Do you handle the loading dock booking?
Yes. Give us the building's dock booking process and any lift-protection or insurance requirements and we will work to them.
What happens to the old computers?
E-waste is separated from the rest of the load and taken to a recycling centre, because tips will not accept it as general waste. Arrange your own data wiping before collection.
Can usable desks and chairs be donated?
Yes. Where furniture is in serviceable condition and we can place it, it is offered for donation rather than sent to a transfer station.
How is an office job quoted?
On the volume of the load plus any access constraints like after-hours work. Photos of the floor or an inventory get you an accurate number quickly.
